Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! The Central Middle School Parent Teacher
Student Association (CMS PTSA) is committed to the students, staff and families of
Central Middle School. We are planning for a year where we can offer the entire school
community different opportunities to benefit from our organization. We look forward to
working with you, the staff and students of this wonderful school community!
As a non-profit organization, we request you show your support in two ways:
1. Become a PTSA member. It's only $8.00/person, and it is obligation-free.
Participation or attendance at meetings is not required (however, you are always
welcome to attend and join us!).
The best way you can help us is by becoming a member of our PTSA. When your
membership form and fee are received you will be placed on our email list. This will
allow you to stay updated on anything and everything that the PTSA is working on.
Communication with our members is one of our biggest priorities and we hope you will
find that we do our best to keep everyone as informed as possible.
2. Contribute to our family donation fundraising program: a one-time contribution of $30
per CMS family. Contributing to this donation program significantly reduces the
fundraising that is necessary to be able to give back to the students and staff at CMS.
In addition to your membership, you are given the option to make a one time family
donation to the PTSA. This donation allows us to pull back on the many fundraisers you
are used to being asked to participate in while still giving us the funds to proceed with all
of the yearly functions of the PTSA that the students and staff rely on. The more
donations we receive, the more we are able to do for our school.
While PTSA membership and participation in the family donation program are voluntary,
your financial support of both programs will insure another successful year for the CMS

The PTSA also presents awards to each grade level and scholarships for our 8th
graders at the end of each school year, in addition to scholarships we offer to
Parsippany High School students. In order for your child to be considered for these
accolades you must be a contributing member to the CMS PTSA through membership
and your family donation. All memberships and donations should be received prior
to December 31, 2022 for students to be considered for these awards and
scholarships at CMS.

We hope that you will support all of our efforts to the degree which you are able. Please
remember that we strive to fund programs and activities which benefit ALL of the

If you have any questions in general or regarding memberships or family donations
please do not hesitate to contact me via email at [email protected].
Thank you for your continued support! We are looking forward to doing our best to make
this the best year possible for our students and staff!
Sincerely, Cynthia Collins CMS PTSA President
