Meet our Counselors

Mrs. Mulroony is currently the 7th-grade counselor here at CMS. Before becoming a counselor, she was an English teacher both at Parsippany High School and at Central Middle School. She is dedicated to assisting the students of CMS at reaching their highest potential socially, emotionally, and of course academically. Mrs. Mulroony loves to travel and is an avid reader who enjoys spending time with family and friends whenever possible.

Mrs. Sutherland is currently the 8th-grade counselor. She made the move into education after working in the insurance field for a few years. Her desire to help young people and her dedication to education are what drove her towards this career change, and she has now been a counselor at CMS for five years. She loves working with middle school students, and in her free time, enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and puppy.

Mr. Hart has been a counselor at Central Middle School for 16 years. He is currently the 6th-grade counselor here at Central. Before he was a counselor, he was a 4th-grade teacher at Troy Hills School and a 6th grade English teacher here at CMS! Mr. Hart brings over twenty years of educational experience to his students here at Central. In his free time, he enjoys coaching soccer, playing guitar, and watching his two children play soccer.

Mr. Yarosz began his career in Newark NJ as a Physical Education/ Health teacher for two years. He then moved on to Parsippany where he has been for over 20 years. He began teaching Physical Education /Health at Parsippany High and coached football, baseball, and track and field. He was the coach of the year in track and field in 2000. He then continued his education and earned a certificate in order to become the Student Assistance Counselor. Mr. Yarosz works with students who are at-risk and may have a propensity to be curious about drugs and/or alcohol. In addition to being the S.A.C., he is also the anti-bullying specialist. He also has a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership.
