The week of May 2, all CMS students will be taking the NJSLA statewide assessment. During this week assemblies will take place in the afternoons.
Remembering T.J.
In 2010 Wendy and Steve Sefcik lost their son to suicide. Most would say that T.J. had it all. He was an honor student, varsity athlete, cherished and loved by his family, and friends.
Wendy and Steve will share T.J.'s. story of living with depression. This program focuses on mental health and gives students and educators a view of what teen depression can look like and what to do about it.
Internet Safety
A detective with the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, and a member of the National Internet Against Children Task Force will be presenting to our students during the day and parents on Tuesday evening from 6:30-7:30 in Central Middle Schools Cafe.
Bias and Cyberbullying
The Morris County Prosecutor's office will lead a discussion on cyberbullying and bias incidents, and the importance of making smart decisions. For example, exercising good judgement when it comes to how others interact with others online, or what you post on social media is essential, as it unfortunately could impact their futures.
